HOW TO FIT
✦ Measure the flat depth and width of your step before ordering
✦ Center each mat with bare wood showing evenly on both sides
✦ Secure with double-sided carpet tape or tread grippers (sold separately), the back is plain braid
✦ Curved or winder steps: message us first, these are quoted as custom shapes

STRAIGHT EDGE TO THE RISER
✦ Each mat has one straight edge and one curved edge: the straight edge sits against the riser and the curve faces down the stairs
✦ That puts the walnut band at the back, where dust gathers against the riser and a dark tone hides it, and the pale ecru band at the front where the curve shows
✦ Laid the other way round the curve points at the wall and the mat looks too small for the step, so try one before you tape the set
